Alana's Baby Shower!

My sister-in-law and I planned a baby shower for my niece -who's having a girl!!
She selected Whispering Pines Lodge as the venue for the shower.
This lodge is GORGEOUS and made decorating a CINCH! Honestly, we could have done without
decor and it still would have been beautiful!  But, where's the fun in that?!

If you browse through the pictures and previous post, you'll quickly find I did not carry a set theme throughout all the pieces (the invites, gift suggestions, shower decor, games, etc).   Using Pinterest, I found ideas I liked and got my sister-in-laws ideas and put them together to make this shower.
I'll let you be the judge on whether that worked for, or against us.

My favorite part of the table was the fresh flowers!

Once again, I used Shanty to Chic's printable banner to create this one for the shower.

Spoiled!! This is only a portion of the presents she got! We love this baby already!

My sister-in-law bought these cute pom poms to go over the food

Here's a fun view from the balcony above

For activities and games, we played What's in Your Phone, How big is Her Belly,
Baby Jeopardy, & Match the Baby Socks. We ended with a sentimental activity-Dear Baby.  The shower guests enjoyed themselves and most importantly my niece loved it!!

I had a blast planning this shower! I'm so grateful my sister-in-law and niece let me be a part of the planning and can't wait til this baby girl is born!!

Planning a Baby Shower!

I'm going to be a GREAT aunt-my niece is having a baby girl!  To help the shower guests with gift ideas, I made a list of items she doesn't have around a "time" theme.  Traditionally with this theme, each guest is assigned a specific time; however, I don't plan to make assignments.

Here is the original post I found on a baby time theme: Time of Day Baby Shower
I created both of these photos using my favorite app, here is her website: Rhonna Designs

Only a few more weeks and it's baby shower time!

Spring Decor

Our shelves still had some Christmas decor on them and I was tired of the darker color scheme; so once Spring came, I was happy to change them and aimed for a lighter color scheme with pastels.

I spent the morning TRYING to redecorate the shelves and was super frustrated and was positive the only solution was a trip to TJ Maxx &/or ROSS.  I texted Ivan who graciously reminded me of our financial goals.  So with that, everything I used was stuff I already owned; it's grown on me and it was EXTREMELY satisfying to use what I had on hand instead of buying MORE stuff.

I printed the Spring banner from Shanty to Chic here
